Now, this relaxation, this social comfort, if you will, allows them to
introspect, think more deeply about what they are saying.
And of course, none of this could have been achieved without a good listener.
Now, when um they experience such listening, so this emotional process that leads to this cognitive process of deeper introspection um and ability to look at myself from the side and often gain clarity.

I initially thought what my initial attitude was.
Um there are other aspects, often by the way, contradictory to my initial attitude.
This is why we often find that experiencing good listening reduces extremity of attitudes.
Now this relax bas so basically this
Comfort or relaxation broadens the thinking.
And this broadening of the thinking allows for more complex, more open-minded uh introspection, which then leads to uh many uh attitudinal and behavioral uh consequences.
So this is an often the the process that uh one of the processes um that we see, we also see a very strong shift in positive.
Emotions.
Um
One of the most the the interesting findings that we have is reduction in negative emotions.
For example, in one of the projects we had five studies um where the topic was the effect on of listening on speakers state loneliness.
And the speakers shared an experience where they felt socially rejected.
Now this was really interesting.
