I I had a mixed reaction to a note that came home from my child's school, um, wherein they were explaining how they're treating the homework policy this year.

Um now I go to a small district that serves a wide swath.

I'm in what's called a rural district, which means

We we're in a town and most of the school district is from the town, but we also stretch really far into the far sticks.

And so we've got kids that drive two hours to come to school because we're the rural district in the area and they choose to come here rather than go to their much, much smaller, you know, K 12 with 14 kids school.

You didn't have a lot.

So we have a rural district wherein we take transfers from really far away for families who want that sort of community offering that a larger district is able to afford and put together.

You can't have a football team if you've got twelve kids and sev several of them are still seven.

Yeah.

The individual sports are big.

Um, but they sent home a note.

That said, we as a district will not be doing homework for the lower grade levels.

The upper grade levels work a little different, but my kids are in the lower grade levels.
