My poor kids are so incredibly confused with their accents because both Jack and I have very, very neutral accents.

He had a very strong Southern accent as both his parents are just about cornbread as they come when they speak.
Lovely people, but they talk like this all the time.

Um, that's that's how my in-laws talk all the time.
Um, and it comes supernaturally to me because I also speak like that.
Or at least I used to, and people would tease me for sounding so cornbread.
And I got in my head about it.
So I started studying the transatlantic accent, which I used to be able to do really good and I cannot do anymore.
But it created this super neutral newscaster accent that I speak with on the daily, unless I choose to enact another one.
Um my children have grown up with that.
Jack also had a very similar
thing.
He was teased for being cornbread, so he learned to not be cornbread.
And we live in a cornbread town.
