Um, and then on the weekends, we tend to avoid screens because we've been working on screens all week through school and work.

Number of times that my husband and I are dipping into the family-friendly movies from the 80s and 90s because the ones that were coming out in the 2000s, the 2010s, the 2020s, this what it's not even like a nostalgia thing.
It's just that they don't exist.
There aren't pointless zone out movies.
Everything's either got to hit hard and heavy or is so incredible.
Incredibly asinine.
It's unwatchable even to the kids.

Everything's educational if you try hard enough.
Um, but that's probably why so many movies sort of wandered away from those themes.
First, we did become sort of aware of this is creating problems for ourselves.
Our kids are watching these and we're we're having to have these conversations that we were maybe not ready to have.
But also, if your kid was old enough to ask, that's your sign they're ready to have it.
