In in an effort to avoid summer regression in a way that I don't think helped at all, um, I encouraged my kids to write a book over the summer.
And my son abandoned the project after about two weeks.
I would
remind him, but it's one of those things that because this isn't required, there is no deadline, there's no stakes.
I don't want to weaponize writing, working, or creativity as you have to do this.
