So like I I haven't had to intercede in actual sibling strife yet, 'cause they more or less handle themselves.
Taking apart the times when they were toddlers and just being toddlers at each other and didn't have the social emotional awareness they'd have done that to anybody.
It didn't matter.
But they were playing, and I realized they universally prefer to pretend to be the villain.
The villains do not win in their scenarios, they lose every time.
But in these games that they play, they make a stuffed animal or an invisible character be the hero.
And my son and daughter take turns beating.
Being the supervillain in the scenario, and the henchmen and the heavies doing all of this damage or talking or threatening to this stuffed seal that's acting as the hero of their story.
And it doesn't seem to matter whether they're playing knights and princesses, dragons and riders, whatever sort of world they land in.
And in super cybertech robot mega Godzilla monsters.
Whatever ends up, my children act out the role of the villain and lose.
They lose their own games to the stuffed animal hero.
Every time they get to completion of a storyline.
Cause obviously some games just sort of dissolve into the ether and no resolution because it was dinner time or they just got bored and one of them had the great idea to hey, let's go lick a wall.
