Residents captured plenty of video of this tornado as it happened in the peak of the afternoon, just tearing up entire neighborhoods as it went through, sending debris flying thousands of feet into the air.

Here in Union City, three confirmed fatalities.
The National Weather Service giving it a preliminary rating of an EF3 from homes being completely swept off their foundations.
A lot of those homes even potentially being tossed into
union lake this is historic in many ways this would be one of the strongest and earliest in the calendar year one of the deadliest of this decade i've been told that there are stories of heroism people saving lives this is a very rare event you do not see tornadoes of this magnitude this early in the year and this far north it was a function of temperatures how warm it was and just the right conditions to spawn such a violent tornado
