Now it may not look like there's been 11 inches of snow reported in the city, but if you head down to Battery Park, that's exactly what you'll find.
The official measurement, 11 inches.
In Central Park, 8.8 inches.
And there's a lot of variability across the five boroughs right now.
We had that one convective band that pumped in.
Probably snowfall rates close to 2 inches per hour.
But we're not done with this system yet.
The top report out of North Carolina, 22.5.
That's higher up in the elevation, so you have some orographic lift, can squeeze out some more snow.
Overall, people are really enjoying this generational type snow event.
This is the fourth snowiest North Carolina has ever been in its state history and the snowiest it's seen since 2004.
The aftermath of this is both beautiful but also dangerous.
The official report coming out of the town and from the National Weather Service office coming at 8.5 inches.
The local governments, local officials are saying it's going to take at least three days to get all of the roads cleared.
