Graduating seniors from Hamilton Southeastern High School here where Haley Busby walked the halls or Fishers High School can now apply for the pink with a purpose scholarship in her honor.
Haley's Army for Children isn't looking to only reward star athletes or valedictorians.
Through their nonprofit, Busby's family wants to make sure the light she poured into her community lives on.
Now, her father, Bo Busby, says protecting other kids from Internet predators is the core mission of the nonprofit.
With a community willing to join that fight through fundraisers and donations, Busby says the organization is rolling out training and education programs for parents on internet safety and actively offering support to families of missing children.
He wants to continue building on Haley's legacy and expand the scholarship to more schools next year.
But for now, Busby says, they're taking things day by day.
CNN's Tom Foreman joins us now live from the reflecting pool, our chief algae correspondent for the day.
Take a look at the water here.
I love seeing so many people that maybe haven't previously cared all that much about sports tap into this exact moment.
And live sports create this genuine cultural moment that I've talked about before, and style kind of comes with that.
We see people that have never cared about the sport, never cared about Knicks, showing up to the bars, the watch parties, dressed to the nines, inspired, representing their team.
We see fashion publications writing nonstop about Tyler Kulik's incredible looks.
Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner matching in their jeans.
Chef's kiss.
Jordan Wood's bag, and we're talking about her literal purse, attendance at the games became a massive headline.
And honestly, that was warranted.
So my point here is this is not really a sports story.
This is a culture story.
This is about communities coming together.
