But also I was gonna say not taking those emotions to him instantly.
So when we're going through hard emotions as a woman, relying on
The Lord more than just going to your husband.
It's so easy, especially in that season where we were literally together all the time.
It was so easy for me to just want to go talk to him about these things.
Or we got an argument just to stay, to get to the bottom of it, knowing that like we all want to be good again.
But I realized even that, that fight response, right?
It's like there's healthy, we talk about stress responses a lot naturally in our coaching.
And there's like pros and cons.
To each response.
You normally wouldn't think that.
You know what an unhealthy fight response is, but there's also healthy fight, which is like fighting for your relationship and like sticking around through the hard seasons, you know?
And so I had to realize, like, okay, that example of me going to him to try to fight, right?
And bring that intense energy and the emotion for him to carry that when he was not in a place early on in marriage to carry that.
He, you know, we didn't know all
things we know now and I needed to go to the Lord instead.
I needed to run to the prayer closet.
And there were many times and I gave him permission like when things were good after the fact.
I'm like please point me to the Lord because I need to go there because I don't want to put all this pressure on you to be this perfect husband and receive all my stuff.
