You know, you don't, I don't think any of us want to feel that this technology has the better of us, but I think we probably have to concede.
I think we have to be aware of where it's at.
And I think, you know, happy to go to the hope bit of the conversation.
Let's get that out of the way.
But I do think, I think we have to recognize what this means for us as humans, as members of democratic society, that if we want to hang on to some of this stuff,
We actually have to arm ourselves with skills, with tools to be able to navigate it.
And what are those tools and skills that you- Well, using a New York Times subscription.
But and reading it, right?
Like I think we have to- So triangulation?
Yeah, a bit of that.
So the Finland example that I gave you earlier, the media has a part to play in it.
The media in Finland has some of the highest trust scores of any media anywhere in the world.
And one of the things they do that is quite different is that they acknowledge and are very prominent in
in apologizing and clarifying when they make mistakes.
So I think maybe a good thing that the media can do more generally, like the mainstream media, is to be more transparent about when it makes mistakes, be more, like we do make mistakes, be more willing to admit those.
recognize that there has been a loss of trust in the media and start to rebuild that.
