So if you get this thing starting to drift more to the southwest

the the shear is there and it's going to push that rainfall farther to the south.

I think that's pretty much said at this point.

But the development of the storm just becomes a little easier with that southwesterly movement.

in northwest or northeasterly shear.

It almost I don't want to say it helps it, but it almost somewhat negates it as opposed to, you know, you think about driving a car.

If you've got a strong northerly wind and you're driving right into it, you stick your face out the window.

Obviously you're going to feel more wind, but if you're driving with the wind or away from it, you don't feel as much on your face.

And so that's kind of the way I look at wind shear with these tropical systems.

So really the movement over the next twenty-four hours is key to me because I think you have to be prepared for a potential hurricane if it does turn southwest quick enough and stay stay offshore.

You know, hopefully it moves right over us because that that would really be a non issue at that point.

Yeah, I I don't you know, th this isn't going to have time to get to worst case scenario for my area.

And frankly, I don't know if it gets to worst case for anybody.

I just think it gets a lot stronger if it stays offshore.

But um, you know, i if it does move more along the coast, you're looking at that f I I think four, five, maybe six foot storm surge potential.

Uh so that's that's not going to be a a major impact.

to people that aren't used to it, if that makes sense.

I mean, you're going to get at that point get uh quite a bit of high water in areas like St.

Bernard Parish, Plaquemans, uh, you know, you'd probably see Grand Isle underwater for a short amount of time, the lower parts of the parishes.
