We see the structure of this thing.

Everybody's impressed by how it's able to hold on.

My concern would then be

You know, maybe a high end category two hurricane moving into the Texas coast somewhere between Galveston and Houston.

I still think that's a lower end scenario based on where the storm is right now because it's so far to the north and still drifting northwest.

But again, if you get that turn early enough to where it stays just offshore, I think that's a real possibility.

So this is a rare scenario where I hope the center of this moves right over my area in southeast Louisiana, because at that point there's not going to be enough rain.

It's all going to be to the south.

I'm not going to be dealing with flooding necessarily.

And uh it would also limit some of the storm surge potential over the area.

Now again, locally speaking, here, if we were to see a track that stays farther to the south and more parallel along the coast, uh, then I'm upping that storm surge number.

I'm up around five feet or so, if not even a little bit more, for areas like St.

Bernard, Plackman's Parish.

More storm surge along the southern coast because now you have a prolonged track uh along the coast that is just giving you a prolonged time period of that onshore flow.

So that's really the critical aspect for me on this.

Uh, I mean, this has looked like garbage obviously for the past couple of days.

Uh, but but I just think we're in a scenario here to where.

If it turns southwest early enough, and keep in mind southwesterly moving storms.

y they just tend to fight off shear a little bit better.

They tend to develop a little bit easier in higher wind shear than maybe a storm headed due north into that shear.
