And that first year of my sobriety, he wasn't my sponsor, but...
I leaned on him a lot, and he was definitely sober then, because you can't fake that.
But yeah, you know, I don't know why he couldn't...
I don't know why he couldn't have been... Ultimately, he wasn't able to be as helpful to himself as he was to so many other people.
And I don't know what he told himself in those times.
So when you're not working, it's all about getting the work.
Then I was fortunate enough to get a point to where I was always working.
I mean, I once went, I think, 22 months straight with no break.
