We found in some cases there are people who have waited months and even a year to get a refund on tickets that were never delivered to them.
Stubhub doesn't own the tickets themselves.
So when you're buying a ticket off of StubHub, you are purchasing it from a buyer who has it either because they couldn't attend the event or because they bought a bunch of tickets and then they chose to resell them on Stubhub.
Sometimes the people who list those tickets don't quite have those tickets yet.
For example, Jazz Fest.
I'm from New Orleans, so I love looking at when Jazz Fest is happening and organizers have not released tickets for Jazz Fest yet.
But right now on Stub Hub you can buy Jazz Fest tickets.
That's because there are sellers on StubHub who bet that they will be able to buy those tickets when they do go live and then they'll be able to resell them.
But they don't have them right now and they're still selling them on the site as we speak.
When that ticket does not come and a buyer is kind of left out to dry, they

However, the fine print of this so-called fan protect guarantee says we will offer you a replacement ticket based on our sole discretion of availability and cost.
So oftentimes you'll be outside a venue, and this happened to people during the World Cup, and they bought a ticket for you know section one.
And that ticket didn't arrive and they're looking on the site and they're like, Okay, step up, I see m other tickets in section one.
Can you just give me one of those?
And a lot of times they will not get the ticket.
And that's often because the price has skyrocketed by the time the event is so close.
So then a refund is promised.
Then that refund is typically delivered within uh a week of the event.
But we found in some cases there are people who have waited months and even a year to get a refund on tickets that were never delivered to them.
