We love to ride and we also love to hang out off bikes.

And again, like having a really supportive partner at home who also is adventurous and a proponent of the micro adventure.

So cool.

So in day one, I got to ride with someone who I had connected with at the Mid-South events.

So shout out Mark.

Yeah.

And then Rodney in before Stillwater and then in Stillwater, there was like a dozen people that came out to ride with me.

And I got to stay at friends' houses.

There were some times that like somebody saw that I was going through somewhere and they had a family member that had a place close to route.

So a lot of the times when I thought that we might need to camp, I was able to just stay at someone's house and get laundry done and rest.

People covered our meals occasionally, which was super helpful.

Emporia, I was kind of, this was like really wild.

Staying with Dan Hughes and Paulina, who Dan's won Unbound many times, mostly in the early days.

He's still really involved with the event as a photographer for a lifetime now.

He used to live in Lawrence and owned the bike shop that I worked for and now I run my group ride out of.

So we stayed in their house in Emporia.

They also host Lachlan Morton.

And so I was in the basement and was like getting to meet Lachy in the midst of this like grand adventure.
