You know, we fully planned out the itinerary, like we're going to leave on this day and it's going to get us to this location by this day and whatever.
Yeah, a lot of just thinking I should ride some big back-to-back days and do as much training as possible, which really wasn't that much more than I normally ride.
But I stacked some bigger days on weekends than maybe I have in previous years.
I mean, like pretty typical weekend warrior thing.
Like if there's a good day, nice day outside, like on a Wednesday, I would maybe get to go take off from work in the middle of the day and get, you know, 60, 80 miles in.
And then just the Saturday, Sunday weekend.
eight to 10 hour back to backs as much as I could.
And I don't know, I'm just on my bike a lot.
I think I probably do probably average 17 hours a week riding.
Wow.
Which sometimes is a lot like, you know, working full time.
I'm also part-time in a graduate program right now.
everyone's riding all the time here.
I honestly did a lot more riding by feel.
In the previous years, I've been with a coach and I really love working with a coach.
I love my coach, Katie, but just like financially, it was getting a little bit tricky for me, but I was able to take what I learned and apply a lot of simple blocks to my training regimen.
So after I
Peaked hard for that tandem mid-south, rested, did some threshold intervals during the week, and then long rides on the weekend, and just kind of repeated to rest.
you know, get volume and still get intensity.
Cause I know there's, it's very hilly.
