You gotta be able to push a 50 pound bike.

I was able to get support from Revelate Designs for my bags because I did, up until this point, I had been borrowing bags from friends for all of my trips.

So it was a frame bag, two, I want to say they were 12 liter panniers.

I didn't have anything on the top of my rack.

a pretty big handlebar bag, and then just like accessory bags around the cockpit.

I had a three liter bladder in my frame bag and two fork mounted bottles.

So like around five liters of water.

My camping setup was pretty minimal, which kind of funny.

I ended up not really using it.

Really?

But it was really frustrating.

Like I was happy to not have to like...

be gross, but there were a couple instances where I was like, I really wanted to camp there.

Like I just, it feels like the right way to do it.

And anyway, so I had a lightweight bivy, a super light sleeping bag and pad and

and little inflatable pillow.

And then for kit, it was like wash one, wear one, repair stuff, like basic flat kit and extra spokes and a bit of chain.

Like I just thought about like, okay, if this is 3000 miles, like what problems would I typically at home like run into in that sort of distance?

And so that's kind of what informed what I should pack and,

I had a document that I had started probably like five months before doing this.
