And that's where I think there's an interesting parallel with Lauren because, you know, it's not ticks but, you know, this idea of a mosquito or a tiny pathogen really got me and that led to a reactivation of Epstein-Barr virus which causes the glandular fever and
I had that terribly when I was 19.
And then this dengue reactivated this virus and I was unwell for a year.
And then those things coexist together.
You know, you've got your mind, you've got this joint mechanism.
pain that comes from the Epstein-Barr and then you've got these gut symptoms.
And now when I'm in periods of stress, it's all there again.
And so I went and tried again with alternative medicine and
for the Epstein-Barr sort of reactivation symptoms.
I did a lot of acupuncture.
And for me, that works magic.
My acupuncturist is always like, stop calling it magic.
I think there's, and there's, you know, there's thousands and thousands of years of research onto it.
So I did that.
But then I also do other things that straddle the line.
You know, I take SSRI medication for OCD.
At the same time, I find tarot reading more helpful than therapy.
So yeah, I think there's this thing of, I know how easy it is.
And at the end of the day, we just assemble a toolkit of whatever works for us.
Yeah, I've had OCD since I was a child, though no one recognised it then because I think in recent years obsessive compulsive disorder has just reached a whole new level of cultural understanding.
