But now it's like, as you said, that's the end of that journey.
And we've now gone to these big occasions of the Twickenhams.
We've gone to France.
We've gone under the lights.
You know, we've done the big occasions that now, you know, as you said, I think it is a kind of end of this journey that it's it's kick on now from here.
And it's OK.
Now, what else can we do to start clambering even closer to them?
Again, obviously, presuming that things go to plan against Scotland.
But yeah, you get to look forward and chase new goals.
So, yeah, I do.
I do agree, which I think it is the start of something new past this journey already.
Yeah, exactly.
100% that's really it in a nutshell that you're kind of watching the first 10 minutes and you're a bit like oh is this ever going to kind of spark to life or and you weren't really worried as you said like you weren't really worried about the outcome of the result but you were hoping for a bit of fire something to catch fire to get us going and it was always that we were kind of doing enough there was moments and flashes of brilliance but
you know, credit to Wales, you know, they came over with their own game plan to try and nullify Ireland and you saw that in kind of the, in the first opening exchanges of, you know, big shots, double, double tackles, but they tried choking in the tackle and really slow down Ireland's ball and it sucks the life out of the game and Ireland probably got kind of drawn into that bit of a dog fight and it happens, you know, in every level of the game and it's no disrespect to Wales of where they are in their journey, but,
I think you see it happen at every level of a rugby game that you play a team that perhaps aren't at the same level or the heights that you're aspiring for and you're trying to put your stamp of your game plan on it without getting dragged down or meeting them kind of on a par and I think we saw a little bit of that with Ireland struggling to catch fire and to kind of get into the rhythm of phases and to put their own kind of
our own kind of finesse on the game.
So it was, as you said, a bit of a damp squib, like job done, box ticked.
It was almost, you know, get past Wales so we can really build into this week of kind of the pinnacle of everything that they've been working for in this competition, like not to overlook what Wales did, but it was very much job done without too much fuss.
Some flashes of nice stuff in there, though, that I'm sure we'll talk about, but yeah, a bit of a mixed bag.
Yeah, and there's probably added nerves there too, Neil, in terms of like everybody, you know, home games, they're extra special in Six Nations and you're dying to get selected in the 23 for those ones.
