So this guy in Australia, this tech guy, he adopted a dog that had cancer and only months to live.
He took the dog's tumor DNA and paid $3,000 to get it sequenced.
He fed the sequence into a couple AI models, ChachiPT and AlphaFold.
This guy has no background in biology, it says.
And both of the models identified mutated proteins and matched them to drug targets.
With the AI, he was able to design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine from scratch with all this information.
And it fucking worked.
So genomics professor is gobsmacked that some puppy lover did this on his own.
