So the hardest part of being a sports medicine doc is what can you play with safely?
What treatments, what interventions, what physical therapy, what things can I offer you that are safe and reasonable that would allow you to play?
And wouldn't cause long-term harm for you.
And that's the biggest thing that you try and have these open conversations with athletes.
Because I'm telling you, look, it's not a heart condition.
These guys have a lot on the line.
I mean, I can give you a crazy story.
I mean, I had a player, and I won't say anything because I don't want to give any information out, but...
He had a bad injury.
I don't say bad injury.
He had pretty decent ligament sprain on the field.
Comes out of the game.
I don't think he's safe to go back to play, okay?
He is begging me because he is six plays shy of a massive contract incentive.
