I've never been nervous.
But making my first speech...
or take my first training session in front of, I think I only had 11 players, I was so nervous.
Like speaking, because you're actually speaking your ideas now.
But the ideas at Watford wasn't about me working on my formation, my ideas.
My ideas were to promote young players into the first team and get their debuts.
And I spent two wonderful years there.
And Watford is honestly a fantastic club.
I mean, what they've done and how they've brought the club up, it is fantastic.
And like I said, they told me, we want you to promote players.
So I got five players to make their debut, which was excellent.
I enjoyed that.
So that gives me a sense of pride.
And then the opportunity came up to move across and go into management.
And like I said, coaching at that level was fantastic, but I wanted to go to that next level, and especially learning off the managers.
We're at Watford.
I wanted to taste what it was like.
And to go there at Crawley,
I have to say I enjoyed it because from the get-go the owners, the supporters, the players, the staff were excellent and the relationship I had there was perfect.
You look back and people say you have moments in football, moments at teams where everything fits in really well and that was perfect for me and it was going so well.
