If you don't rewrite, do you not just do sticky tapes with technical debt, though?

I'd say rewrite and rewrite early.

Make a decision, make it fast, and go.

Internally at Google, I walked with one of the biggest execs in the world the other day, and they said that Sundar is a terrible leader.

Well, we said we'd be spicy today, so fuck it.

But he has brilliant managers beneath him, and they are very decentralized in their decision-making, and so it actually works very well.

Would you agree with that?

And when you assess the state of talent within Google, having been there for several years, would you agree with that?
