So I would say that I like the fact that if they didn't see someone that met their needs as a price point that worked for them,
They kept their powder dry, and I would be shocked if we get to the training camp and they haven't made any roster moves.
I think that they will use that cap space in another way.
In fact, I think there's probably a trade that they're working on right now.
But yeah, not to say spending money on July 1 is a mistake, but if you don't see a place to spend it, I like the discipline of not feeling like you have to spend it.
I would say Toronto.
They made a lot of moves.
And if we look here, we have some staff.
If you look at the total contracts, they've signed eight contracts since July 1.
That's pretty close to the top.
I mean, Florida and Vegas signed a lot, but there were a lot of two-way deals.
Toronto signed the most NHL guys.
And they threw a lot of money at really their bottom six, aside from Bobrovsky.
And just as we've seen in Edmonton with some of the contracts too, paying a lot of money on your bottom six can come back to hurt you.
And it felt like they signed and then also with the Nick Paul trade, they added a lot of players that kind of all do the same thing or similar.
I will say in their defense, though, like they went shorter term on them.
They signed two and three year deals.
So when we look at other teams where they're going longer, you know, even Edmonton going five years on, you know, example, Dickinson and Murphy, which kind of felt like maybe a year longer to get the cap hit down.
You know, you could say Toronto actually went the opposite way.
They went shorter and then therefore that higher cap at like a fizzins at four and a quarter for two years.
