Yeah, super funds charge lots of different fees, but there's usually three headline fees.
The first one's an admin fee.
I kind of described that as like any business has to keep the lights on, pay the staff and just run the business.
There's usually investment management fees, which are the fees that they charge to manage an investment.
Vanguard and BetaShares charge that for ETFs.
You just don't maybe think about it like that.
And then there's often transaction costs, which are more minor.
They kind of, you know, every time they buy and sell, they have to charge you something.
They're often smaller, so we tend not to notice them.
Different super funds collect different admin fees and investment management fees.
Some super funds will have really high admin fees.
Some will have really low admin fees, high investment management fees, low investment management fees.
And then a lot of them will have caps, either minimums or maximums.
Like I think with my old super fund, they were like...
it's 2% capped at like a hundred bucks or something like that.
So 2% on a small balance is a lot, but it hits the ceiling really low.
And then as your balance grows, it's not too bad.
So they're the different kinds of fees you see.
If people don't like their fees, you can shop around.
It's not too hard to find those fees.
