What I was going to say is, you know,

We don't have the billions and billions of dollars, and even if we did have the billions and billions of dollars, we don't have the systems in place to do this on our own as the county.

It's 31 municipalities, every other water control district.

In living down here a long time, everyone can talk about all the studies and whatever they want.

They've built too much, so there's no spot for any of this water to run off anywhere.

So when we have a lot of different cross-competing issues, when the groups come in here and say, we need more affordable housing, we need more supply, we need to build that somewhere, and then that comes with the runoff.

So I'm happy to have a workshop on this, but really the Army Corps of Engineers and the federal government and the state government are going to need to step up.

So we're not going to be able to do this even partially on our own,

and to ask taxpayers to pay for it when we can't even give them the plan that we would have.

We're trying to get something done at the port, and the Army Corps of Engineers have been holding us up for, what, 25 years or 27 years?

So, I mean, it's impossible to deal with some of these agencies when this comes up.

I agree with you, but when we have new development that's built, we just have to make sure it's being built in a resilient way.
