So I decided to work with my colleagues and got them to fund a pilot program while I was in Tallahassee.

So this

The group that I used was the Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and also Broward College.

They were the conduit that received the funding and worked with the chamber and the city in designing the program.

So this is just an extension of that program.

Our port director, whenever you talk to him, he just came before us and offered a reduction in fees, right?

We recognize that we have to compete.

So those are some of the things we're doing.

Not taking trips and using your money.

We are strengthening Broward County's global competitiveness.

And we are talking about the new workforce that will be needed to compete, to help us to compete.

So that's where I'm at.

Formal partnership is so crucial to what we are going to be doing at the port.

and answering trade, tourism, and economic development.

Okay, how did that become taking vacation and you losing, not having money?

So I'm going there, but not personal.

I just want anyone else that's out there that's thinking, that would ask the same questions you just did, I wanted to make it clear that was not the intent.
