But the people that need to get on board are those people in the middle who don't really know where they stand. matched

And I can talk about times in American history where you had a very similar situation to where we are today. matched

The rise of the Republican Party came directly out of a moment such as this in the 1850s. matched

But what you are really doing when you are participating in democracy or in politics right now, or really in any kind of an advocacy organization, is trying to get people who otherwise aren't involved in that movement. matched

And part of doing that is creating this larger sense of self-determination. matched

And you see that around you all the time right now. matched

I mean, how many people do you know who said, well, I never paid attention to politics, but have you seen... matched

And I get that all the time from people. matched
