So, within the Republican Party ranks.

Cassidy, still teed off over this, says of the Trump slush fund that there are other ways to approach it all.

So, bottom line here is that the Dems are forcing votes to embarrass the other party with the November midterms coming fast.

And then there's Iran.

Trump says ceasefires are different in this region.

They can include sort of moderate attacks, right?

That's the new definition.

Yeah, the latest ceasefire hopes have been hit by a new round of clashes in Lebanon by the Israelis and Hezbollah.

An agreement reached only yesterday called for a unilateral end to attacks by Hezbollah, but did not seek any immediate concessions from Israel, such as the withdrawal of their forces from southern Lebanon.

A number of Republican pollies agree, and in the House, some joined the Dems in favour of a War Powers resolution directing the US Congress to debate this.

That measure, if it ever made its way to the Oval Office, would be vetoed by Trump, who calls his Republican critics grandstanders, all in caps, who should be ashamed of themselves, but it does show that Trump increasingly is boxed in.
