I thought it would be hard, but it wasn't at all.

And it was, um, yeah, it was, and you realize how rare that is.

Cause again, I obviously we don't really spend a day in silence and there's something very weirdly bonding about being in silence with other people.

So you expect it to be isolated, but it's actually the opposite.

There's almost a shared shared experience.

And people surprise you.

So you have in your head what someone's going to sound like or be like, and then they open their mouth after 10 days and they're completely different.

Success is in the eye of the beholder.

I almost see my whole career, Unplugged Included, as a string of failures in roughly the right direction.

So it always feels like a failure at the time.

But add them all up and it looks not like a complete failure.

So I was a tech startup.

Me and my co-founder were the first two employees.

And we grew very fast, opened internationally.

So it was all very exciting.

absolute shit show behind the scenes.

I did a number of roles.

I started in sales, then I ran product for a year, and then I ran growth for a year.

And all of those, I was so unbelievably unqualified.

So yeah, I mean, I think a lot of inspiration from Unplugged came from that experience of running growth that last year, because I was so ineffective at it.
