you know, for anyone who's out there hunting for a job, getting an actual offer is a big deal or getting close to one is a really big deal.
So typically, you know, we're pretty excited.
And so we might read right past these red flags and not look at them or just brush them aside because we really want to believe.
I mean, that's what happened to this woman that I spoke to.
She just wanted to believe.
I mean, she had been looking for a job.
She knew that these benefits were going to be expiring soon and she just needed something.
And this is,

So, you know, we're all vulnerable in a vulnerable place if we're job hunting and we're looking at our next mortgage payment.
The first thing is the email.
If it's a Gmail or Yahoo or any other free account, you know, that's okay, but you can, you know, toggle over and see that it's not something weird.
Like today I got an email from Janet Yellen and I opened the email address and it was something weird.
It went into my spam folder, but obviously looking at the account where it's coming from is a red flag.
If you still think it's perhaps interesting, like I only have a Gmail address.
So you can just respond and say, hey, can you email me from your work account?
That's a very normal, nice thing to ask.
And another one is no interview necessary or immediate hire.
I mean, those are just, just go running from those.
