because of the kind of dismantling of order that takes place in what we would call the real world, right?
The classical real world, which actually then the green world or the woods become this kind of mirror that we can see that we're just pretending out here, right?
We don't have it right.
And what appears to be chaos is just kind of the, in the green world is just this reordering of things the way they ought to be.
You can see even that between Oberon and Titania and that you can make the case then that, um, that they, that, that she has violated what, what the medievals might call the great chain of being by overstepping, um, and, uh, uh,
not offering her husband what is due to him as a king and her husband, right?
And so everything that goes on is kind of this just pedagogical teaching to get things back into order.
It just looks like chaos to us because we don't have the eyes to see it because we're so corrupted by kind of our attempt to comprehend and find order and we're doing it wrong.
And the chaos of the lovers is kind of this reordering force that's brought about by the green world.
And I think that that's a very legitimate way to read the play.
Both of them are, which is what makes it great.
Right.
I think it's fun to read the play both ways.
Right.
And maybe even back to back.
Cause it's not very, I mean, it's pretty easy play to read once you know it.
Right.
I do that with the epics a lot, especially with the Odyssey.
I'll read the Odyssey.
