I'm Helen Leathers and with me today is not my usual co-host or business partner, Tom Dillon.
It is the lovely Dr. Sarah Koo.
Sarah is a former GP and an executive coach with a focus on conflict resolution and burnout prevention.
She's also the head of training at Wild Monday.
And I'm going to allow her to expand on that and tell us a bit about Wild Monday and a project that I think lots of our doctors will have heard of.
So we want to find out a little bit about you because as you say, we have a working relationship with yourself and Rachel and we thought we'd have a chat with you on the podcast.
So in the spirit of our previous interview, it's going to stick to a similar format.
So I'm going to ask you what drew you to a career in medicine, to becoming a doctor?
Yeah.
That's interesting.
Yeah.
I was talking to someone the other day about how I started reading Agatha Christie books when I was about eight.
And she was like, you are a very strange child.
Yeah, we were just talking about that this morning on one of our workshops, actually.
So it moves us really nicely into how you decided to explore coaching as part of your medical career.
So obviously that's historical.
What are the different ways that you use your coaching skills now?
Yeah.
I like that label of restorative coaching and it really resonates with a lot of the coaching that I do where you can't always go in for the transformational changes in your life if you haven't done not just the thinking and the exploration but the true restorative work which is
building up your own inner resources, your own inner energy.
