Hello, my name is Helen Tansley and I'm chairperson of Board & Oag here in the Gael Tralee.
Well I suppose we all started here with picking up balls on the sideline and then you eventually get bigger and bigger jobs and I took over as chairperson a couple of years ago but we're very blessed to have the volunteers we have.
Without them the game just doesn't go ahead.
We've tons of volunteers here all from on the pitch, off the pitch and without them as I say the club wouldn't be where it is today and we're very grateful for all that they do.
A lot of them are parents.
but also we have people, imagine, involved here who do not have people involved, but they just want to be part of something special.
We're a very social club here and people just like getting together and being a part of something very, very special.
I think it starts from the age of three and four all over this county.
Kids start very early and the grassroots here, as you say, are what brings them all to a very, very high level once they get to their teens and older.
And all the clubs are doing fantastic jobs all over the kingdom to ensure that we are where we belong, which is in an all-Ireland final, I think for the 40th time this year.
And we're hoping to bring Sam Maguire back to Nogail, to Tralee and to the Kingdom of Kerry.
We get very greedy here in Kerry.
I mean, you know, the more you have, the more you want.
And it's definitely that case in Kerry when it comes to bringing Sam home.
It gets more and more special as the years go by.
And we have Dermot O'Connor here, a stalwart of our club, a fabulous gentleman who's always on the sidelines, supporting his own team when he can't play.
Anything we ask Dermot to do, he does.
He's a modest gentleman and we can't wait to get behind him in the All-Ireland final this year.
