I don't think anyone really would have had the outrage that they did.

So I think whether Carl is, as a survival tactic, trying to frame this as freedom of speech...
is one thing, or if he genuinely believes that he's lost his job in the mainstream media because he interviewed someone, Sarah Ferguson will interview like a Steve Bannon, like a Trump acolyte on the 7.30 report, and no one's calling for Sarah Ferguson to lose her job.
Well, some people might be, but the vast majority of people understand that journalists need to have these conversations.
But there's a different – I don't think he was being a journalist.
I've said a few times he looked like – and he has in numerous of these episodes.
I think he looks like a guy who is trying to transition social groups at high school.
He's sort of in that stage where he doesn't know when he's meant to laugh or agree or push back.
I sincerely think he looks a little lost because he's opened a can of worms, especially with someone like Tommy Robinson where –
You know, Carl is a talented presenter.
He's very good on camera.
He's very good at – he's – but I don't think the, you know, I don't think the requirements of being the host of the Today Show necessarily equip you with the interviewing techniques to be able to go and be in a room with someone like Tommy Robinson.
And it's almost like he's let his relevance get the better of him
