So I think you will find that that's the empirical part of the project.

And I'd be very happy to see people go and, you know, not just remember sort of roughly from their undergraduate days what these papers said,

And I'm not saying you're doing that, but really go in and look at each sentence by sentence, and you'll be very surprised to see how much of a simplification that caricature, what I think to be a caricature, is.

Now, I mean, there's another level to this.

Of course, sometimes some philosophers just say, make a claim about something or other.

Sometimes it's just a thought experiment.

And they don't argue for it, and they just assume it.

They just say it.

But again, that still leaves it completely open whether that particular judgment is properly characterized as an intuitive one.

There are many reasons why people say things in papers without arguing for them or, you know.

that has nothing to do with anything having to do with intuitions.

So every argument has premises.

We can't argue for all our premises because we write like 20, 25 page long papers.

So by the nature of writing and conversation, we will say things that we don't argue for.

So in many cases, things will be just said and assumed to be in the common ground of a conversation or

the presumption being, yeah, if you ask me, I'll tell you why I think it.

But none of that has anything to do with a reliance on the intuitive.

That just has to do with the necessity of having some assumptions in place when you argue for something.

So the point of what I just said is sometimes you'll find things that are asserted, claimed.

Sometimes that's about a thought experiment.
