And so, you know, on an international stage, some of those policies might not seem that controversial, but that is very much on the progressive side of the Democrat Party.
Yes, absolutely.
So so what this comes down to really is electability in the general election.
Some Democrats are focused on this primary.
It's been a chaotic primary, right?
It started with seven candidates, four of them dropped out, one of those four came back into the race with the endorsement of the cu current governor.
So it's been a little bit all over the place.
And that's why Francesca Hong has had this opportunity to lead in the polls.
But a lot of the establishment Democrats are looking at the general election more than this primary.
And Wisconsin, right, it might not make headlines in on the international stage an awful lot, but it is considered here in the US the swingiest of swing states, right?
So if you look at the last seven presidential election elections, Trump has been the only Republican to win, but they have all been incredibly close.
In five of those seven elections, it came down to one percentage point.
If you look at 2024, Trump won by less than 30,000 votes.
Biden won the state in 2020 by less than 21,000.
So it is going to be an incredibly contentious race.
And if you look at it this right.
This is not to get a seat in Congress.
This is to become the governor of the state.
