They may have become disconnected from her family.

And so we do exercises that help them reconnect with their mothers so that they can have a relationship with her again and carry her forward.

These were women who had decades of congested grief.

That was also different about this group and wonderful that they finally had a place where they felt they could talk about it with other women who understood.

Congested grief is such a clear... Congested grief.

It just got stuck.

It didn't have pathways for expression because they were growing up in a time or in families

that didn't create pathways for them because they were being raised by adults who weren't told that they needed to do that.

Is that otherwise known as Gen X?

Yeah.

Well, I'm Gen X. Me too.

It's boomers, Gen X. Some older millennials.

Yeah, and older millennials.

But then again, it depends on your culture and your family.

There are still children who are in those kinds of environments today.

It's not.

I want to say it is grief, for sure.

It is grief.

But I think of that as a different category of grief.

Now, I have worked with women whose moms became incapacitated when they were young,
