But when you look at the history of medicine, you see that there's lots of things that make sense but don't work.
It's a complicated problem that regulators are facing where we have unprecedented tools with uncertain benefit and uncertain harm.
The potential upshot is incredible.
And so then the concern or the natural tendency is to say, let's change the rules because we're playing a different game now.
Question is, are we gonna throw the baby out with the bathwater?
reduce regulatory standards, and then end up with a whole host of new problems that lead us astray.
Yeah the devil's in the details.
That's exactly right.
Because this sure we can make this shift and like Prasad and McCary are arguing, they want this to serve as a psychological ink.
They want people to view this as the new standard.
