Um but this being the Trump administration, the reporters went back and it, you know, this happened at 1 a.m.
in the morning.
Um it's not often federal judges stay up that late, I would imagine, to do this work, but this was how important it was, what an important moment it was that this judge
was willing to burn the midnight oil.

The reporters went back and they still couldn't get in.
They then went back to court.
And uh all of this is happening while uh Xi Jinping has arrived at the White House.
He's brought the Chinese press corps with him.
China does not have freedom of speech.
Let's just be absolutely crystal clear here.
And this white this this White House, the White House um, you know, has banned American journalists.
from covering the White House, but it has welcomed in Chinese journalists.
And not not only that, these Chinese journalists were in fact incredibly aggressive about taking up space and getting near uh the action, way more so than American journalists are, uh, in a very in a way that was, you know, bizarre, farcical, and disruptive.
Um
CNN went back to CNN MS Now and Politico went back to court.
They're represented by Ted Boutres, who is a legendary First First Amendment attorney, a warrior for free speech.
And uh not surprisingly, the White House crumbled uh basically on the steps of the court and said, Oh no, we're restoring the badges.
They went back in.
