So I was – yeah, I was concerned about not being lovable for a long time.

I mean, you shouldn't, but you do.

You know, you might be number one for, you know, I remember you talking about 1999 and I was on the cusp then of like really.

And now looking back, I didn't enjoy some of that early success as much as I should have because, you know, whatever reason you get so used to it so quickly.

I do remember once going into the, which I'm embarrassed about, going to the town hall.

Across the road there was a hi-fi bar.

where they would have the comedians would go over there during the Melbourne Comedy Festival and, you know, they would hang out and party and they wouldn't let me in one day.

And I literally said to the guy on the door, do you know who I am?

Because that year I think I was the number one ticket seller for the festival.

Right.

And I'm like, mate, I'm basically paying your wage.

And I was a wanker.

It's embarrassing now looking back on it.

But at the time it was ego, you know.
