So there's an artist on our label. Her name's Anike. And Rachel and Anike, before Anike ever had a music career, they went to the University of Texas together and they were very close friends. And so one day I'm hanging out with Anike at the Reach Studios and she's like, hey. We're hanging out. Sorry, I was like, hey, if you have any friends, let me know.
Because I just had a bad dating experience. I'm like, I just want who God has for me. That's it. I just want to meet my wife. I was like, hey, if you know anybody, let me know. She's like, I do. Her name is Rachel. She's like, I do.
So casual. Her name is Rachel. She loves Jesus. And she had just told Rachel about me a couple days before. Yeah. And she gave us two, like she, she told me two people, Rachel and somebody else. And she told Rachel two people, me and somebody else. But she told me about Rachel and she's like, yo, she loves Jesus.
And so I just shot my shot and just sent her a DM like, Hey, one day told me at the, at the time, uh, Nikkei went by one day. But she was like, I was like, hey, one day told me about you. How are you doing? Very straightforward. Just to start a conversation. It clicked. We started talking about the Lord in the DMs. Like we were just talking. Then it transferred to texting.
And then our first FaceTime was four hours long. And then I got off the FaceTime. I was like, God, this is my wife. And then we went on our first date in Atlanta. It was like the best day ever. Didn't want her to leave. Then I went to Houston. I asked her parents if I could date her because I just want to be respectful to them. Like she has the best parents.
And then it clicked and we got married like in 2021. So we met in 2019, December, got married in May 20th, 2021. So it was kind of quick.
So it's lit.
