And I think after a while, Spain probably thought, all right, it's bad we're not scoring.

But they can't make anything happen.

So we've got time.

And I think that was probably really important for them.

That sense of, I mean, Messi wasn't involved.

Julian Alvarez was running around a lot.

But there was no pace on the counter-attack.

There was no kind of sign of they're going to be able to build some pressure, which they did against England.

And I think Spain probably thought, this is a concrete jungle which dreams are made of.

There's nothing they can do.

I think the plan was similar to what they did against England.

It was, as Humphrey says, it's drag the opponents down to their level, make them strap, make them fight, try and knock them from their rhythm, annoy them.

I think that's one of those things that we overlook.

They're not fouling because they think it's fun.

They're fouling partly to try and break the opponent's rhythm.

But Spain wouldn't give them the ball, which in some ways is cheating.

And I think after a while, Argentina, maybe because of the physical stuff we talked about before, the fact that they've had that day's less rest, because they are an old team, because this is basically the side from 2022, they couldn't get hold of the ball to create any chances particularly.
