It's actually 40% more.
They are increasing capacity with coal more than the rest of the world combined.
And when we're setting our own policies here in the United States and we're heeding any lessons of what's happening abroad,
We should not do it based off of propaganda that comes from spokespeople for those foreign countries.
We should do it based on the actual policies, the realities overseas.
And if we're going to learn a lesson, learn that lesson based on facts, not spin.
I strongly believe, and the Trump EPA strongly believes, in advancing cooperative federalism.
We want to work with states.
We want to have strong partnerships wherever we can overlap, work together, partner to get more investment in the United States, to create more jobs, to help our economy, to protect our environment.
I have signed off on a lot of primacy requests that states have given, sent in to the US EPA,
that we've approved over the course of the last year.
We are open for business in approving state implementation plans, granting these different primacy requests for states to take over certain aspects of regulating their environment from the federal government.
We believe that states know best on many of these environmental challenges that are faced within states rather than bureaucrats who sit inside of agencies in Washington, DC.
And actually with the California example, the best evidence of how to work together is to just look at what Governor Newsom was saying right after the wildfires.
