I've saved about $30 billion in my first year.
And that savings was found with regards to canceled grants, real estate consolidations, staff efficiencies, canceled media subscriptions.
We closed an EPA museum that just about nobody knew about or even visited.
So we're saving the taxpayers a lot of money on the policy side.
We inherited a big mess as it relates to rules that were finalized, especially in 2023 and 2024, seeking to strangulate out of existence entire sectors of our economy.
The Biden EPA believed that in order to protect the environment, we had to suffocate a lot of our economy.
We believe that we can protect the environment and grow the economy.
So we are going through a process that would amount to
More deregulation in one year than entire presidential administrations have done in the past across all agencies of past presidencies.
And that's just one agency here in the Trump administration in just one year alone.
One proposal singularly, the proposed rescission of the 2009 Obama endangerment finding
would be one of the largest, if not the largest acts of deregulation in the history of the United States.
And lastly, I would point out on the policy side is that we have set a pace of one big environmental accomplishment that we've announced publicly for every calendar day
that President Trump has been in office, which means on the 100th day of President Trump's term, we released a list of our top 100 environmental accomplishments.
We did the same thing with the next 100.
On the 200th day of President Trump's presidency, we did it again.
On the 300th day of President Trump's presidency.
So yes, we are both protecting the environment and growing the economy.
We choose both.
We believe that we can do both, and that is what we have committed to going forward.
