You obviously have one person going up with the ball and I'll get to him.
But is there a player going past the ball if the opposition slap it back?
Is there a player who's going to be right underneath where the catch is happening to get a slap back towards your team?
Do the players know who is going to be poaching the ball if they win it?
Do they know who's going to be counter-rooking if they win it?
If worst case scenario, they win it, who is going to be setting the defensive line?
And then it's tied in with also what body position are you in?
Are you chasing?
Are you upright?
Because the ball's going to end up on the ground or are you low hunting the ball?
You know, as Pat Lamb used to say, ready to detonate the grenade because that's how important it is.
It's such an important part of the game.
And teams like England are just going all in on this.
All in.
And
Focusing specifically on the player who's chasing the ball.
Are they going up to try and catch it clean?
Are they going up one-handed to slap it back?
If they're slapping it back, are they slapping it to the right or to the left?
Because that's important and that's going to increase your team's chances of winning it back.
