No, no, it does, and it's also just the timing.
If you don't have top, top end speed, you're then more reliant on timing.
Hansen, for example, isn't really fast, but his timing is exceptional.
So when he's getting the ball in the middle of, let's say, a backline play, he can get himself up to top speed, his top speed, which is effective for you.
You could have a player who's faster than Hansen but doesn't have the timing or the nous,
that he won't get in at the right time or he'll show his hand and the defenders will be able to see him.
Even though he's faster, he won't be able to slip through the gap of the guy who's slower, who's got better timing.
But when you come in late, how many reps would Jimmy O'Brien have had practicing on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday?
I'm not too sure how soon to the game or how close to the game Balakun pulled out.
But every one of those reps is so valuable because that's where you're getting feedback.
You're realizing in the training session how the defense is reacting.
Then you're maybe taking up a little position.
You're giving a bit of feedback to the ball player saying, look, hold on to it a bit longer or give that one to me a little bit earlier.
I need more time in that instance.
Or I think the open winger is now doing this.
Those little mini conversations are so valuable, but each player will do it in a different way.
Like how Ballachian plays the game is very different to how Jimmy O'Brien plays the game.
Yeah, and part of that can be the freedom within the team to do that.
The likes of Pollock, for example, when he's playing with Northampton, he can do whatever he wants and the team are just told, look, if he runs a line, get behind him and make sure you resource the rook.
