The bigger...
The bigger deciding factor as of right now as to whether Liverpool will win the league next season for me is Hughes more than Iriola.
Obviously, they've both got a huge say on whether that can happen or not.
But right now, the emphasis has to be on building the squad, adding depth, adding quality, filling some of the voids and just making Liverpool equipped to navigate 60 games over the course of four competitions, which we're just not at the moment.
So...
I think part of the reason Areola is the man for Liverpool is because I think he's going to be more willing than slot was to use players outside of the core.
So like Neal and you're getting minutes and things like that.
I think Areola will be more game for things like that.
and I have a bit of a concern that in the coming season we might have to do a bit of that and I think Schloss has shown to be reluctant with that stuff so yeah the emphasis for me right now has to be on the squad I mean it's appropriate that we're on the gutter show today a transfer show because it's a very transfer it's mad saying it because we spent so much like 12 months ago
but there's real emphasis right now quite still on keep spending boys you're not done yet honestly you've got a lot to do
Yeah, I think there's lots to drill into when it comes to that.
I think one of the big lessons I would have liked them to learn was the Mark A thing, you know, waiting until the final day of the window.
It just felt unnecessary and you end up getting stung there by playing with fire.
It ends up at Man City, Liverpool still to this day haven't really filled that void.
I know Jacques A has technically been signed but he hasn't actually played a minute yet for the team, so...
you know, that was something that kind of crippled Liverpool for the season that followed.
Obviously, as a result of that, we couldn't play like a centre-half at right-back for the entire season.
