Let's say I'm Chinese.
There's a huge Chinese like a history of Chinese immigration to New York.
But because it's so much more integrated, it's like Chinese people making Chinese food for New Yorkers, right?
So the difference there is that like if you want to get like super
authentic or traditional ethnic food, a lot of the times in LA it's easier to do, especially easier to do like in a singular area, because they tend to all be clustered in the same place.
So think like SGV or Koreatown or Boyle Heights.
Like those are all different places where like there's a high density of really good ethnic food from one specific ethnicity.
And the other thing that LA slash California tends to do really well on is that California has a really, really strong agricultural, livestock, and fishing culture.
And so what this results in is that it's m cheaper to get higher quality ingredients, especially in bulk.
So if you're at a restaurant in New York and you're paying $30 for a plate versus a restaurant in LA and you're paying $30 for a plate.
In all likelihood, the thirty dollar plate in LA will usually have
Higher quality ingredients.
Obviously not all the time, but that's just due to the fact that like the the availability of high quality ingredients it just comes cheaper due to our again, agriculture, fishing and livestock.
But yeah, I just thought that was interesting.
And it makes sense then in that case why I preferred LA food scene because though I do love Americana style food like pizza and you know, whatever, sandwiches, delis, Jewish food, I do
Typically like my highest rating foods are almost always certain ethnicities of foods.
Like I love Korean food, I love Mexican food, I love Japanese food, and these are all things that LA does like really strong.
And then also I really care about ingredient quality, so it totally makes sense why I would prefer the California food, especially the food in LA.
I think the biggest takeaway from all of it though was that
I think I wanna travel more.
